Eleaf Invoke Kit Review

First Impressions

Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T Kit Review

When first looking at the Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T Full Kit, you'll immediately recognize the packaging. Most of the Eleaf's newest products come in this type of box, which is not a bad thing whatsoever. On the front you'll see an image of the vape kit alongside the name of it and on the back you will find more information about what's included and some minor specifications of the device.

Once you slide open the packaging, you're greeted with the Eleaf Invoke box mod and Ello T sub ohm tank right away. The Ello T atomizer does come with the 2ml glass tank section pre-installed, but underneath there is a chimney extension as well as a 4ml extension glass tank section. You also receive an additional replacement coil head, two user manuals, a QC USB Cable for charging and firmware upgrades, and a bag of spare parts.

My first impressions of the Eleaf Invoke 220w mod was that it's incredibly small, especially when considering it houses two high drain 18650 batteries. This Eleaf mod is definitely one of the smallest dual 18650 box mods I've come across, which is a huge pro in my book. Even though I don't mind larger mods, it's always nice to see a much smaller one be released to the market as some vapers simply want the smallest mod while still getting good battery life.

Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T

Aside from it being small, I must say that Eleaf Invoke does feel a bit on the cheap side, and it's to be expected since this full kit is priced very affordably. Although it does feel this way, it is very lightweight, making it great mod for on the go. The screen is also larger than most other Eleaf box mods, and the 510 connection is centered which are both pros in my opinion.

Onto the Eleaf Ello T sub ohm tank, it's very similar to what we've seen recently in regards to vape tanks from Eleaf. The Ello T does sport an overall base diameter of 25mm and has a 2ml/4ml e-liquid capacity. It also features a top fill design for quick and easy refilling alongside fully adjustable bottom airflow. The included wide bore delrin drip tip is quite tall, but this might be a good thing for some vapers as you're mouth will pretty much never touch the top cap while vaping.

Overall, my first impressions of the Eleaf Invoke Starter Kit were great! There weren't any real cons to be mentioned yet.

Eleaf Invoke with Ello T Usage

Eleaf Invoke Starter Kit

As mentioned earlier, the Eleaf Invoke 220w TC box mod is definitely one of the smallest dual 18650 devices on the market, which makes it easy to carry with you in your pocket, book bag or purse. Honestly, I'm still surprised every time I use Invoke mod due to how small it actually is, and it's quite impressive really that a vape mod this tiny could hold 2 batteries and deliver up to 220w! Not to mention, the Eleaf Invoke is lightweight and ergonomic making it very comfortable to use.

Installing your batteries is very easy thanks to Invoke's sliding battery door design. However, the battery door itself is a bit on the flimsy side, which is a con for me. I didn't have any issues with it staying in place though, so I will say your batteries are secure. I've never had any issues using it in the past couple of weeks. Still, I would recommend to be careful when handling the Invoke's battery door, just as a precaution as you don't want to it to accidentally break.

Navigating through the Eleaf Invoke menu system is also very easy, and if you've used previous Eleaf products then you'll have no troubles with this one as it's relatively the same. Five clicks of the fire button will turn the device on or off. Three clicks of the fire button will enter the menu where you can choose from mode, set, info and exit. When selecting mode, you can choose between standard wattage mode, temperature control (Ni200, Ti, SS), TCR or USB Charge.

In the set option, you can lock the resistance of your attached atomizer, adjust the power limit, turn stealth mode on or off, check the statistics (puffs, time, etc.), add the logo, adjust the preheat settings, and set the timeout. In the info section, you'll find that you can check the version of the firmware and check the battery voltage. Although navigating Invoke is simple, you still have quite a lot you can do in regards to customizing your vape experience.

Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T Kit Review

The screen itself is large (1.3 inch OLED) and is bright, making it easy to see in pretty much any condition. In addition, all of the atomizers I tested sat flush and made a connection with zero issues. The Eleaf Invoke can accommodate atomizers up to 27mm in diameter, which is yet again quite impressive given it's size.

The Eleaf Ello T is also very simple to use and it does utilize the same coils as we've seen in previous Eleaf tanks which are the HW series. You can easily adjust the airflow when it's on the device, and the drip tip is comfortable so I never felt the need to change it. The top fill design of Ello T is the standard twist off, so nothing really special there, but the fill ports are on the larger side, so it'll accommodate most e-liquid bottles.

Also, installing the extension piece for the additional glass tank section is a breeze: simply uninstall the 2ml glass tank section, screw the extra chimney piece on and you're good to go. I do wish they would've included a spare 2ml or 4ml tank section just in case as some vapers may prefer either or. There are only one 2ml glass tank and one 4ml glass tank included in this Eleaf Invoke vape kit. This is not really a con, just something I would recommend Eleaf adding into the package.

Overall, using the Eleaf Invoke with Ello T Full Kit over the past couple of weeks has been nothing, but a great experience. Next, we'll cover the performance!

Performance

The Eleaf Invoke box mod does have a maximum wattage output of 220w, but since I don't have the equipment to test the accuracy, I will compare it to a DNA box mod since those devices are well known for their accurate performance.

I will say that I don't really vape much over 100w, but when vaping around 150w and 180w, Eleaf Invoke does feel pretty close to actually delivering that amount of power. Do keep in mind to understand battery safety and ohms law if you're vaping at higher wattages.

In temperature control mode, it did work quite well and a bit better than I expected from Invoke. I only tested it in stainless steel temperature control mode as I don't vape Ni200 or Ti wire. It's not as good performing as a DNA or YiHi device, but I think for the price point, it works well enough.

Eleaf Invoke does have a TCR mode as well, which makes it easy to fine tune your vape experience. I would say it's TC performance is on par with other devices similar to it's price point.

A pro to be mentioned is that it fires right away with no delay whatsoever. As soon as you press the fire button, Invoke fires instantaneously. The battery life is also pretty good, and I found it to be a little better than other dual 18650 box mods. It does drain the batteries down to about 3.3v. Vaping around 50w to 75w, I could easily get through most of the day without needing to change the batteries.

The Eleaf Ello T sub ohm tank performed quite well, and I was actually surprised by its performance and how long the coils lasted. With the airflow fully open, there is a slight restriction, which I personally enjoy, so I felt no need to close off the airflow at all. It's not incredibly airy, so this might be a turn off to those vapers wanting massive amounts of air and no restriction to the draw.

Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T

The included coil heads are the 0.2 ohm HW3 (Triple Coil) and the 0.3 ohm HW4 (Quad Coil). The HW3 is pre-installed and was my favorite of the two. The other had good performance with Ello T as well, but the HW3 just had a bit better flavor in my opinion. Both of these coils I would vape around 70w to 80w. At this wattage range, I would get a warm and flavorful vape, and the vapor production was certainly satisfying. Be sure to prime your coil with e-liquid before use! Here's how:

I experienced no leaking whatsoever with Eleaf Ello T sub ohm tank which is definite pro. Each coil lasted at least 1 week before I noticed a slight decrease in performance, so I must say the HW series coils from Eleaf are very good and definitely recommended. Filling Ello T is easy, thanks to its top fill design, but if you're using the 2ml tank section, be ready to fill it quite often. Since this is true, I used the 4ml tank section exclusively with the Ello T.

Overall, the performance of the Eleaf Invoke with Ello T Full Kit was excellent! The performance of both the mod and tank were great, and quite impressive when you consider the compact size of the entire kit.

    My Eleaf Invoke Kit
    Rating

Eleaf Invoke with ELLO T Kit

In conclusion, the Eleaf Invoke Starter Kit is another excellent and affordable vape starter kit coming from Eleaf. The Invoke kit is incredibly easy to use, and has tons of features to satisfy most, if not all vapers. I'm still impressed by the overall performance of this Eleaf kit, because I honestly wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

Although there are so many pros to the Eleaf Invoke Kit, there were two cons to be mentioned. The first and biggest con is the flimsy battery door. While I didn't encounter any issues with it, it's still something worth mentioning and would recommend being careful with. The last thing you want to do is break the battery door by accident.

The second con is that the Invoke mod itself does feel a bit on the cheap side, which isn't a major con by any means, especially when you consider its price.

Overall, the Eleaf Invoke with Ello T Full Kit is a great choice for the vaper looking to get into something more advanced or the vaper wanting an affordable and compact vape kit that can utilize two 18650 batteries. If this is something you're interested in, or looking for, then I definitely recommend this Eleaf Invoke kit.
