Kanger Kbox Mod

Kanger Kbox Mod

Kangertech’s First Vape Mod EVER!

Kangertech just unveiled the release of their new Kanger Kbox Mod, the first e-cigarette mod produced by them. Kanger is known for creating amazing atomizers like the beloved Protank 2, the Aerotank Turbo (the first quad coil atomizer), and the Subtank series. They also have produced a number of eGo style batteries like the EVOD, the EMOW, and the IPOW2. Even though their well know in the industry for making quality vape gear the Kanger Kbox will be their first ever e-cigarette mod.

The Kbox is a 40 watt box mod made from lightweight aluminum. It’s a variable wattage device but you can only choose from 7 pre-set wattage output settings. The device doesn’t even have an LED screen, instead there are 7 led lights that correspond to a different wattage output. From what I can tell the output choices are 8, 11, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 watts. I really don’t think this is going to be enough to satisfy most vapers. At least the Kbox can fire down to 0.4ohms so you can use it with the newest sub-ohm tanks like the Kanger Subtank.

Overall the Kbox measures 89mm tall by 40mm wide and has a depth ranging from 20 to 25mms. You will need an 18650 battery to power the Kanger Kbox, I believe the battery is installed through the bottom of the device but I’m not sure. So far the Kbox looks like it’s too little to late from kangertech. Maybe next time… if they get a next time.

Wow such a wasted opportunity for to grow their company…they just changed a few things it would been a great mod or a nice kit with a sub-tank. Who did they think would buy a device that they can’t select what wattage they want to vape at…It really shouldn’t be called a true 40watt box mod…something more like 7x different watts box mod or something. Like you said too little too late…(I wonder if this is the mod that they made the original 25mm Sub-Tank to match with…)

wow no matter how kick arse that mod looks they are restricting people’s use of the mod to limited wattages and nothing in between. what bone head thought up this device. – i dont vape at any of them wattages. i rarely go over 15w on my lemo with 1.2-1.6ohm coils but sometimes 20 on my dripper. any higher than that and you are just blowing through juice like there is a never ending supply. but it still looks killer. would be nice if they noted the chipset used, i doubt it something they designed and crated. plus they dont say its regulated, so i imagine it isnt. regulated sells these days, PWM doesnt as much.

Look at the price guys. For less than 48$ when these hit the shelves your getting a mod that can fire up to 40w. if your using the subtank you won’t be Vaping below 20 watt anyways. It’s a good first step for Kanger. Let’s not forget what other companies first boxes were like.

I think you guys may be wrong. I’ve seen the wholesale pricing of these, and they will probably be selling at most for 39.99usa, but I think you’ll be able to find them online for 29.99 after they are released.

This is meant to be CHEAP for people who do not have ANYTHING yet. If you have a 50 watt istick then this is not for you. It’s for someone who wants something a little beefier than his ego and can run the new tanks (there are a LOT now: ego one, delta ii, subtank, melo, atlantis).

I would have preferred a dial (a la vtr or egrip) but I think this this is pretty cool for it’s VERY cheap price.

I think it’s a cool-looking device, like so many of the hybrid styles that are coming out now a year and a half after the ZNA. I also like its simplicity and price point … but the settings should have been 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40. I might buy one of these for the novelty.

Just ordered one of these. Sharp looking device, and it’s the perfect size (for me). This box won’t even get a battery, because I will install an SX350 board into it. In my opinion, you can’t get a good looking “naked” box for building mods at this price. If it goes well, I’ll order more at wholesale. Thanks for posting this!
