The Carbon 40 mod is an original vape mod made by Madvapes in Mooresville, North Carolina USA. For power it uses the coveted Evolv DNA40 chip with temperature control that is also made in the USA. The DNA40 chip has the most accurate temperature control on the market so when you build a coil with made out of Ni200 Nickel wire you can regulate the maximum temperature to ensure absolutely no burnt taste or dry hits.

The case of the Carbon 40 is made from real wood top and bottom caps laser engraved with a unique design and serial number. The body pieces are made from real carbon fiber unlike most mods that use fake carbon fiber. This keeps the mod lightweight and gives it a very stylish look. The side battery cover on the Carbon 40 mod is held in place by two powerful magnets, this allows the door to easily slide off then you need to replace the single 18650 battery.

  • To access the Celsius mode: From Locked Mode, holding down both the up and down buttons for two
seconds will place the device in Max Temperature Adjust mode. Once this mode is entered, the max
temperature will be displayed. The up and down buttons are used to adjust the max temperature. To

40 will display degrees in Celsius. Once in Celsius mode, use the same procedure to switch back to
    Fahrenheit.

Ugg..I’m really not digging the aesthetics on this mod. For some reason Mad Vapes has a bad habit of releasing very odd and weird looking (IMO) mods (The Bellow,The Plume, ect) that are priced alittle too high. I just can’t get over how the carbon fiber body looks with the wooden top and bottom.
But hey I’ve seen worse WAY worse and for somebody this just might be right up their alley! For original designed DNA40 mod its not that bad of a price and it does stand out from the sea of Hammond boxes and other similar box mods. Just not for me but Props to Mad Vapes for trying something different.

Not bad but clearly still overpriced for a mod with a DNA 40 chip imo . These chips cost $59.99 for consumers but for businesses considerably cheaper than that.

Most people in the know agree that devices with temp control will be flooding the market soon and you will be seeing them at greatly reduced prices , even devices with authentic chips.

If i was to purchase a device like this just give me aluminum , this carbon fiber thing is clearly just to make people think it’s that much more advanced when it’s not .

Sure it’s lighter but this type of device is not heavy at all to begin with. Carbon fiber micro fractures when subjected to impact in most circumstances .

Just my opinion on this mods worth and it is a nice looking box however.

I got my Mod-chip for only $5.49 . Seriously I really did and I need to figure out how to get in installed. Lol

Forgot to add that this mod looks like it just has a very thin wrap of carbon fiber from the pic on the right , the flap is sticking up just a hair so it’s more like a J wrap than a real mod built from carbon fiber which is actually a good thing imo.
